Terms of use
Placeholder. Episode Club is a pre-launch project. These terms are written in plain English so they are actually readable, but they have not been reviewed by a lawyer and will be replaced before any public launch.
The short version
Use Episode Club to track what you watch and talk about it. Do not use it to harass people or to spoil things on purpose. Your data stays yours and you can take it with you at any time. We will not sell it.
Your account
You need an account to track shows or post. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to agree to terms where you live. One person, one account.
What you post
You keep ownership of your comments, ratings and lists. By posting them you give us permission to display them inside Episode Club to the people the spoiler rules say should see them. Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, or that you do not have the right to post.
Spoilers are a special case here, because the whole product is built around them. Marking a spoiler comment as a spoiler is not optional politeness; deliberately posting spoilers unmarked to ruin an episode for people behind you is grounds for removal.
Moderation
We can remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these terms. Removed comments leave a tombstone so replies still make sense. AI helps us rank what needs looking at; a human makes every decision.
Imported data
When you import a TV Time export you are telling us you have the right to that file — it is your own data export. We use it only to rebuild your history in your own account. You can delete it, and everything derived from it, by deleting your account.
Paid plans
Tracking, community and import are free and stay free. Episode Club Plus is billed yearly or monthly and can be cancelled at any time; cancelling drops you back to the free tier and never removes your history. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your card details.
Metadata and third parties
Show, season and episode metadata comes from TMDB. Episode Club is not endorsed by or affiliated with TMDB, or with TV Time or Whip Media. Any references to TV Time describe a service that shut down on 15 July 2026.
No warranty, and the boring bit
Episode Club is provided as-is. We try hard to keep it up and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from using it. That said: the export button exists so that a bad day for us is never a lost decade for you.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the app rather than quietly updating this page.
